I was born in the Netherlands, grew up in Bavaria, the south of Germany and came to Edinburgh initially for a 2-year job assignment. An assignment that led to a number of exciting professional opportunities and some decades later, I am still here enjoying life in Scotland! Outside of work I enjoy the great outdoors and spend my spare time either getting my hands dirty at the farm (i.e. my allotment), going for a run anywhere in the world or most recently, trying to tame Oskar, my Dachshund pup.
